The European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) only covers assistance in public healthcare centers, and we collaborate with private insurance companies. In public centers, it is often necessary to make an appointment in advance and have an interpreter.
Currently, the sygesikringskort (commonly known as the yellow card) that all Danes have only covers assistance in public centers, so Danish patients will need to have one of the private insurances mentioned above.
Founded in 1997, Doctor Villar e Ibarra is a clinic specialized in providing medical care to tourists, available 24/7, 365 days a year in Tenerife. We work with leading tour operators and Scandinavian insurance companies. We offer interpretation services in multiple languages and collaborate with Hospiten Sur Hospital.
